The fishing huts (esp. those with doors) are needed vs. cabin fever. No great options for caves on this map. I searched the entire map, all fishing shacks, bodies, buildings, the campsite, the abandoned lookout - no hatchet. Also no rifle. Coastal Highway is fairly easy, besides the mobs of wolves down in the Town area and on the ice. But for truly new players, the pathfinding and landmarks are also easier in ML, not so many maze-like roads and looping ones that can have you going in circles for days.
