Basically, the KS47 uppers are wider to allow for AK mags to fit. In order to make a standard upper work, you would need to add material to it. This can be done be welding aluminum to a standard upper, and then machining it for KS47 specs. The KS47 mag catch is so weak it requires almost no force to move it. My questions - for anyone else that has a KS47 --How much spring tension does the mag catch on your KS47 have - and if you have a regular AK - is it about the same or much less.
