Jan 17, 2019 · Sentinel gets weekly database updates every Monday from the RRDB. The CSERN system data was updated in November 2018, and the CTSP SmartZone system data was updated in May 2018. Good practice is to keep databases up to date, but beyond that to analyse the database changes to see if they will affect your programming. I've only heard them a few times - mostly during storms. VERY rarely and obviously patched. I'm not sure why anyone would want to monitor them. All they say is "I'll push back that lane" and "Where do you want to eat?" I believe I am hearing Meriden PD on 65470 quite often today on the G site. Basing that off of an address given.I was able to briefly map a few sites today, Troop C, D, and K as well as Middletown's and Wallingford's P25 system while driving along I-84 as a passenger. Using ID Search on CLMRN FL, I see a hit on a new TGID "i1991013". Channel Description is "i1991013 (SRC) i1999001 (DST). I've looked at the unknown TGID page in the Wiki, and reviewed the latest database. Stumped by this. Any thoughts from the resident gurus? Thanks

they have officially switched over to the new system statewide, and unpatched the old smartzone. there are MANY new talkgroups on this system including ones for regional dispatch centers. Guess I have to finally get a P2 scanner because I hear nothing on the smartzone anymore

When one of their units (Police, Fire, Whatever) roams outside of Wallingford's coverage, they set it up to roam to CLMRN but instead of getting their native TG numbers, (Ex Police 1 TG 101) it gets assigned a random TG number in the 65,000 range by CLMRN that it talks to the CLMRN system on.
