Front loader for 8n ford tractor.

From my research, I think it’s probably a model 19-22 loader. It has a trip bucket, and runs off a front mounted hyd pump. I have no interest in having another tractor with a FEL.

Disconnect pump from mount and take the shaft coupler apart. Not that much trouble, no need to remove any hydraulic hoses. I'm sure any of the aftermarket suppliers (Allied, Kelly, etc) can provide a loader to fit. They can add a hydraulic bucket, down pressure, and/or a front mounted pump for additional $$$$. Cost for the basic unit is considerably more than the price of a good 8N and the options run it even higher. Quite frankly the most cost effective solution is to replace the 8N with a more modern tractor/loader combo. TOH.

You will also need rear wheel weights , loaded tires and a 1000 pound counterweight on the three point hitch for maximum traction as per Ford Specifications in the Loader manual .
