I skipped hardened steel because it requires black ice; if you can get black ice, you can blow up meteors for star metal. And that requires black ice anyway too. Using a mix of black blood and star metal for tools (i'm lazy, only farmed enough blood for sorcery trainign), and star metal for weapons.

If you go to your feats you can find the wheel of pain, under the wheel of pain you additionally get a club and rope to drag people with, you can use the club/truncheon to knock people out. Truncheons are the main knock out tool. But I've found you can also make blunt arrows and use them with a primitive bow to knock out Thralls from a distance.
