The Suncoast Humane Society is one of Florida’s few “open admissions” animal shelters. We accept all animals brought to us and are committed to our policy of never turning an animal away regardless of health, temperament, size or breed. We are supported by individual donations, wills, bequests and foundation grants. We focus on dogs at immediate risk of being put down at high kill shelters. Any potential dogs are fully screened through vet, reference and home checks. Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescue such as vetting, boarding, transportation, spay/neuter, 4DX testing, rabies, DHPP vaccines and microchips.
