John deere 44 inch snow blower problem. I run a 44 inch snowblower on John deere e 160 lawn tractor. During a recent heavy snow storm the auger stopped turning while the impeller kept moving. I am pretty sure I damaged the worm gearing or drive rod when I hit a buried object. My terminology may be off but I hope I have explained the broad strokes.
