2358 posts · Joined 2009. #5 · Jan 13, 2010. Not mentioned, the mechanism that the shift lock uses is part of the shifter and is made of plastic (with a micro switch) and can get some play. P might not be engaging the switch correctly. I would check that first since it sounds intermittent.
