As per Patch 2.4, you do no longer need the key fragments to get into Karazhan, ie. the "attunement" was removed. However, you do need to obtain the key to be able to open the Karazhan door. But if someone opens this for you, you're good to go inside as per 2.4. the lock can also be picked. The lock can also be picked.
