It doesn't translate into a date. Yours means #49,7xx with the x's meaning the last 2 numbers. It's a modified base 34 numbering system. I DO know that Kel Tec started using an S as the first letter about two years ago.

Welcome to the Quick Start Guide for the KelTec SUB2000. To get inside this new box of yours, simply pull the flap on the front, push the lid open, and there you go: your SUB2000. The SUB2000s come in two different variants, so the contents inside the box may be different. If you have a Glock version of the SUB2000 it is a multi-mag version.

Since your barrel is not threaded im guessing either the A or B model. 16 b vs 18.5 A. So measure your barrel.Get a .40 . it has the opposite problem. The one-weight-fits-all bolt is a bad idea. I looked in the instruction manual and its says: to unlock the sub2000 from its folded position you must insert the key and do a half turn then push the button forward.The hinge-pin screw on the Sub9 is completely different than the Sub-2000, as is the length.
