The LMT Enhanced BCG is fantastic, but you'll want an adjustable gas block first. The LMT EBCG is more about durability, and nothing about it is mixed. It will last significantly longer and yes cut some gas in your face. But not on the same level the Adjustable gas block will (superlative arms or SLR Rifleworks being the go to).

So I talked with BCM and they can't do a custom setup, which I figured. Never hurts to ask. I think I want to go with a 10.5" LMT upper receiver and either change out the fsb to a low profile or shave it. I want to go with a 9" Troy or VTAC Extreme Battlerail and Troy HK front flip sight. Ive thought about just making the barrel to where the block will just barely slide on and then drilling and pinning it. Also thought about tapping the holes in the bottom and installing set screws. These have been out for over a year and are proven in a variety of applications. Im convinced after bending a typical punch and having to step up to a heavier punch and hammer, then it came out like butter. LMT gas blocks are press fit. Torching it won't make it budge. Obviously didnt want to overdo the heat so moved on.
Pinned if you can, at-least dimpled. I use after market converted barrels on all my LMT builds and use FCD gas blocks. I would never use an adjustable gas block on any serious build. Too much that can, and has, gone wrong. Tune with springs and buffers. I highly recommend the Vltor A5 system also.

Just wanted to share some info regarding adding an adjustable gas block to the LMT MWS. I just got off the phone with one of the LMT techs regarding putting an adjustable gas block on my MWS. I have two barrels, a 16" CL and an 18" SS. The 16" is a mid length gas system and the 18" and 20" are rifle length.
Parkerizing looks totally dry. LMT doesn't parkerize under the gas block either usually. Mine started doing the same thing after a few days of training in heat and humidity.
