MOST people will tell you to STAY AWAY from fram oil filters for diesels. i have been using a car quest filter on my truck. the other day i was at walmart and they have the 7.3L powerstroke oil filter (p#-FL1995) for $9.50. i holds more than ours and filters finer. i am going to run that filter next change. The engine harmonics will crack the bolts and then you loose a poston of the complete engine because you have no oil pressure.The frantz filter is a proven one and they do work well! One nice thing about them is you will never have to worry about running out of replacement elements for them. You can easily reach the front tank sender_suction head unit.Keep filling that chamber with epoxy. And maybe drop a few washers in there for good luck. Put the big nut back on, with epoxy, as well. That will almost completely make the valve a bypass. There WILL be just a tiny bit of a pulse in the line, however, due to the rest of how the valve works. For that, pic number three.
