Solasta is a fully released indie game. Meaning it's main story is completely playable. BG3 is a triple A game but it's still early access, meaning it might have more content but you won't see the resolution of basically all you can do. Bg3 is milea beyond solasta in terms of story telling and freedom. Solasta is the best and most faithful implementation of DnD 5th Edition rules in a video game. In this respect, it far surpasses BG3. However, in every other respect, BG3 is better - story, characters, animation, voice-acting etc. If what you liked about BG3 is the story, the romance, the dialogues etc, then Solasta might feel like a step down.Currently, made it to lv 4 in Solasta [default 'normal' difficulty]. Curious how far I will make it. (Turn based makes it managable.) If I die, I die. I finished Kingmaker after about 10 tries (on Challenging) and WOTR only after 3. The satisfaction is well worth the risk.
