The extra range on Halfling Sling Staff is nice, but compared to Divine Lance, you're dealing less damage, have no free hands to hold a shield or other equipment, and have to infest feats. The Halfling Sling Staff seems like a better choice for martial builds who can invest in STR and potentially get 1d10+2 damage per 2 actions.
