I've been told that gm balances their gas motor cranks to 25 grams. To spin 6+k rpm reliably in those it should e balanced to less than 1 gram. Once you remove that hub then you can see the cam gear and pin. It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.
