I couldn't use the DSA Para rear sight with a Type C as I recall. These are uglier but stronger than the others with regard to recoil-related splitting. If you're talking about the two-position sight, I'm not sure why they wouldn't work. 18" - well, the factory length is actually 17 3/8" - hands down. This has been pretty beat to death over the years. There are some folks who like their 16" FALs. My impression is more folks tried them and didn't prefer them. Indeed it was a different manual, with 130 pages. I think this manual is the Light Automatic Rifle by FN. I did find an original Imbel manual from the Chilean Army on GB. It is in Spanish, which for me is no problem, total of 108 pages. Mostly the same stuff, same pictures, different language.

Just make sure, you can run your mower between the small retaining walls, ie, step it out wide enough between runs.
