The reason for the alternator upgrade was so I could install work lights. Perfect time to do this was with the instrument cluster out for the alternator upgrade kit install. Also lots of research on this work. I installed two NEW circuits -on their own relays- for work lights (two banks- one front, one rear).Tomorrow I'll confirm that the alternator is charging the system properly (seems to be). The charging light does NOT come on until the key is turned OFF. So the key is off, I pull it, and the charging light is still on. I pulled the neg. battery cable to shut the light off for now, and it clicked (around the dash area) when I did.If there is power reaching the GP's then the possibility exists one or more GP's are blown. If there is no power reaching the GP's, then you need to use the test light and probe terminal 19 when you turn to preheat. If there is no power on terminal 19 then switch is suspect.
