Jun 25, 2003 · The PF-Tek doesn't just make mushrooms appear out of nowhere, you have to innoculate them with spores. Whatever type of spores you innoculate the jars with is what will grow (unless contamination happens, which most of us know only too well..) Also, you don't need a pressure cooker to follow PF's tek.
