Quest 2 not showing in file explorer.
Feb 25, 2022 · Sometimes it will just not show up in file explorer. After a reboot it works but then if you unplug and plug in later, it won't show up. This has been happening since V54. It is not switching to MTP mode. If you have developer mode on run this ADB command and it will work for you every time.
Right-click MTP USB Device, uninstall. Run C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers\oculus-driver.exe , wait for the prompt to restart, click No. In device manager, Action, Scan for hardware changes. Wait for MTP USB Device to come back. Reboot headset. Sidequest sees it and so does the Oculus app, but I don't see it when I try to access the files through Explorer. SOLVED: Inside the Quest 2 settings, go to the “Developer” tab and turn on “USB connection dialog.”. Okay, that means you are in developer mode. In developer mode, the device will not show up in Windows Explorer until you run a command via ADB or open Sidequest (Which ultimately automatically runs an ADB command).
