Look for alnico 2 & 3 magnets. These are more creamy grit, BUT, I sold my p-90 Lollars casue they were too polite;original Lollars. But they have their place for a Jazzy sound. I have found most p-90's when they are screaming,clean up nicely when you lower the volume3 on the guitar.

Feb 26, 2010. #3. Agreed that the nut is the key. If it is, just go easy on the wraps around the tuning posts, stretch them well and tune to the trem and you should be fine. The only Strat bridge I have ever had is the vintage 6-screw, and it is incredible stable. It's on an EJ Strat with a bone nut that was properly cut.

Oh -- the Super Bee is of course $500 more expensive than the Sportsman and I could certainly find plenty of other gear to purchase for that $500 -- but the price difference between the Super Bee and the Sportsman won't play any part in this final decision.
