I recently purchased a new macbook pro, and the external cd drive will not work--I can't see the drive anywhere. It still works on the old macbook pro. I've double checked my preferences for external drives, looked in disk utilities to see if it shows up there--all to no avail. WMP 7 last couple tracks skipping in 10+ mint cds. I am ripping an audiobook, brand new. Every single CD I have ripped so far, the first 10 tracks or so are perfect, but when it gets down to the last two, they consistently skip and become choppy, it is unbearable.
