There is a company called Messick's that. specializes in David Brown parts. They sent me some things I needed. Maybe they can tell you about the valve gaps. Was trying to figure out what disks were on the Deere 990 that were falling off, but am guessing it is an attachment you were speaking of. If it was Deere brand, I think the dealers all have next-day service. But not knowing the age of the attachment, can't speculate. The 990 was a cheap line of re-branded Yanmar tractor, if I recall correctly.
