To add, the sensor is two $.01 pieces of plated metal that get litter basically dumped on them with every cycle. So they corrode / get dirty and give tons of false pinch alerts. Sometimes the pinch alert requires a full unplug to reset. I kept finding my LR stuck upside down, leading the cats to find other places to do their messes. 2nd replacement DFI & pinch kit installed today - LR3. ~3.5 years later and just replaced the DFI & pinch kit again, first time it was a pinch sensor issue and this time it was erroneous drawer full that cleaning the sensors was not correcting. Edit2: after watching more videos it looks like there is a pinch sensor :(. But I hope someone can tell me if it has been improved to help stop or slow down corrosion.
