Tinkerer Journey requires Armorsmith. But wouldnt it make more sense for it to require Apprentice Armorsmith? Looking at the later objectives, it needs Thin armor plating which is unlocked by Apprentice Armorsmith. Normal Armorsmith unlocks armor plating which is not used in the journey.
