Using the poison mist spell is effective as the arena is large and you get spacing to dwindle down his health. Dark spells are good but regular pyromancies are not effective at all, I wouldn't even recommend brining any. A quality build has 2 main flavors... the 40/40 (str/dex) or the 27/40 (str/dex). Strength has a neat component to it where two-handing a weapon will apply 1.5X your actual strength. So, while "good" strength scaling stops at 40, at 27 strength; 2 handing will give you the equivalent to 40 strength. This is an issue when it comes to 1 handing ...Right Hand: Fire Black Knight Halberd +5 OR Chaos Rapier +5. Left: Pyro flame, Shield of some sort OR Flame, Shield, Chaos Rapier +5/Espada Ropera +10.
