For the record, I watched the first two episodes back to back, and I even entertained the thought of a third, before deciding that it really was time for bed. When this show had its logic intact, it was serving us prose. And when logic left the building, it was serving us poetry. My problem is, I expected at least a decent amount of prose all the way through. When you start out all prose, we kind of expect you to at least sustain the logic of the prose all the way through.
