Yes, people in BU do talk a lot about this (even among professors!), but if you work hard to get around a 3.6-3.7 you should be in good shape after you graduate.</p>. That seems lower than most public and private schools in my area. However there does to be almost 50% of the class who has between 89&92.99, so there is a large group in a very narrow range.
