I will likely add a Y strap just as a safety measure under the tire. Yeah, the lock that plugs the winch hole in the back bumper. A squirt of lock lube once a year will ensure it's not jammed when you need to lower that tire. Garage door lube is a good idea for that cable and winch. The Y strap's not a bad idea.
