April 2004 edited April 2004. I have a chance to buy an Ithaca Deerslayer barrel which is marked Ithaca Model 87. Will this fit my Model 37. My 37 is the newer model without the serialized barrel. I'm sure this has been asked before on this forum, but I can't get the "search" function to work.As long as your m37's serial number is above 855,000 it will fit. If your 37 is 2 3/4" only, you can still use the 87 barrel but only with 2 3/4" shells. Ithaca will not give any advice on either m87's or pre-bankruptcy m37's over the phone.
