Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.
Sep 13, 2022 · Be interesting to see how the new Springfield Armory Prodigy does vs the Staccato P. It really looks very similar to the P at a significant price reduction. I'm totally happy with my P and what I paid for it at the time, but if the Prodigy tests out well will certainly put pressure on Staccato and other 2011 manufacturers; think?

Comes with the RMR cut, weight reduction slide cut, a 3.5 lb modular trigger, aluminum mag well.Springfield Prodigy has a 4.25-inch barrel, while Staccato XC has a 5.0-inch barrel. STACCATO XC, Springfield Prodigy l, Staccato P Heritage LE. They all really good guns. The prodigy is better than I expected. The Heritage is my future EDC when my optic plate comes in. He had looked at the gun and seemed interested but was on the fence. I walked over and told the sales kid I'd take it.

Anyway, many reviews i have read put the Stealth Arms Platypus on par (or better) than Staccato. A guy i shoot with weekly just got his yesterday and says its just as good as the Staccato’s he owns, (C2, CS and P). The kicker is the Platypus (the way i have it configured) is 800-1000 less than the C2.

I had 1 20 rd Prodigy mag that wouldn't drop free from my P, I had 1 17rd Prodigy mag that wouldn't engage the slide stop fully on my P. So I got rid of those 2. The other 6 or so mixed 17, 20rd Prodigy mags seem to be ok in my P, but I haven't shot the P all that much.
