Today on the freeway on the way home from a 500 Km round trip the engine warning light came on, followed by the 4LO light flashing and then the slip light came on. This all happened within 15 seconds of each other. I have turned the car on and off a number of times but the lights remain the same.
Jun 30, 2014 · Yes, I finally got to it and fix it. It was the 4wd actuator switch on the transfer case. Toyota want almost $1000 for that part alone and you'll still have to open the transfer case up to pull the actuator off. Instead I went a bought an used whole transfer case for $600 and put it on. No more 4lo flashing and my 4hi and 4lo work now.
