Difference is - aotc groups are generally better, clear the bosses faster and wipe less. So I usually tend to come back to wow every x.3 patch, and yeah usually I buy 1 heroic clear and one mythic plus 15, pretty much solely because it makes the group finding experience 50 times easier after that point returning to the game without a pre-established guild or friend group playing. AOTC means they complete the raids on heroic each season. CE means that they clear it on mythic. Some groups do AOTC, and then start mythic and stop halfway through.
